Lucy is at that stage of learning to speak where she says a lot, but some of her words for things sound almost nothing like what she means.
Blanket = tanky
Thristy = tanky
cearel = oohly-o
thank you = tea-bom
Lucy = sissy
dolly = olly
She has a lot of words, I have not really counted them, because she will try to say whatever we ask her to. In fact Seth sit in the car with her and practices words. She says a lot of things clearly, momma, dadda, bubba, hot tea, more, come, food, change (when she wants her diaper changed), jammies, open, red, orange, cup, meat, apple...
She gets the concept of 1st person. She does not want things for "Lucy", but for "me"...for example when I am getting dinner for her and Seth, she points to one plate and says "bubba", and then to the other plate and says "me". This, according to all the books is a very advanced concept for an almost 2 year old to have.
